Your mission
To strengthen our ESG capabilities across Europe, we are looking for an Environmental Specialist (m/f/d) to join our ESG Management Team and support the development and implementation of our environmental and climate strategy. This position is located at the Eschborn headquarters under a full-time, permanent contract.Key Responsibilities
ESG Strategy Management
- Support the execution of Double Materiality Assessments and drive resulting improvement actions across European entities.
- Contribute to ESG impact valuations, risk assessments, and scenario analyses, and support the development of mid‑ and long‑term mitigation strategies.
- Collect, calculate, consolidate and validate Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions across all transportation modes using GHG Protocol, SBTi, GLEC, and ECG.
- Support the company’s Net Zero Transition Plan, including monitoring emission‑reduction roadmaps and decarbonisation initiatives.
- Support the preparation and submission of external sustainability regulatory disclosures and Ratings (e.g., CSRD/ESRS,EU Taxonomy, EcoVadis, SAQ), including identification of improvement areas across entities
- Support implementation of internal Headquarter ESG KPI reporting in the entities
- Manage data‑driven sustainability KPIs and support performance reviews across European entities.
- Conduct data analytics and benchmarking against industry standards, emerging best practices, and regulatory trends.
Your profile
Must‑Have Competencies- Experience in GHG emission calculation and inventories (Scopes 1, 2, 3)
- Strong knowledge of carbon accounting frameworks (GHG Protocol, SBTi, ECG, GLEC)
- Understanding of EU Sustainability Regulations (CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy)
- Advanced Excel proficiency skills
- Fluent English both written and spoken
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability Management, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in environmental management, sustainability, or climate reporting
