Job description
Your mission
Manage and coordinate the end-to-end airfreight import (GTW) operations, ensuring efficient and timely handling of shipments
Prepare, review, and process air import documentation, including AWB, commercial invoices, packing lists, and related documents
Liaise with customs brokers to ensure accurate and timely customs filings and clearance
Coordinate ground transportation, warehouse storage, and asset allocation based on import forecasts
Handle special cargo such as dangerous goods in compliance with applicable regulations
Act as the primary point of contact for air import customers and maintain effective communication with consignees, global airfreight branches, warehouses, trucking companies, airlines, and customs authorities
Monitor shipment status via tracking systems and proactively communicate updates to internal stakeholders and customers
Report and follow up on claims related to cargo damage or loss
Create accurate and timely accruals in the TMS system
Issue invoices to branches covering freight, handling, customs fees, and applicable service margins
Prepare and finalize outgoing invoices to customers and branches, including customs clearance, documentation, inspections, delivery, storage, duty, and VAT
Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal requirements, and international and domestic regulations
Support and inform the team leader and relevant stakeholders in case of irregularities or compliance issues
Your profile
Completed vocational training as a freight forwarding and logistics services clerk or a comparable qualification
At least 2 years of professional experience in airfreight import
Very good knowledge of customs and foreign trade regulations
Experience with the transport management system “Scope” is an advantage
Good English skills, both written and spoken; additional foreign languages are an advantage
Confident handling of MS Office
Strong organizational skills, communication abilities, and service orientation
Team player with a structured and independent working style
