Job description
OUR CHALLENGE
As we scale our robots from development into production, we face increasing complexity in our electronics architecture. Our system relies on a growing set of custom-designed PCBs that must function reliably under real-world conditions. Currently, the speed of our development cycles leaves little room for simulation and structured validation. Critical design decisions are often made without modeled insight into electrical behavior. This results in issues that emerge late, during EMC testing or system bring-up, when they are slow and costly to fix. We lack dedicated simulation* expertise, and our current process depends too heavily on iteration and experience. To build reliable hardware faster, we need to integrate simulation* into our development process in a way that is focused, pragmatic, and precise.YOUR ROLE
Your mission is to strengthen the way we design electronics by making electrical behavior more predictable before a board is ever produced. Through simulation*, you help shift our process from reactive debugging to earlier insight, reducing failure and accelerating iteration. As our product scales, this becomes essential to maintaining speed without compromising reliability. By combining simulation* with board design, you increase development velocity and help deliver hardware that moves faster and fails less. You design the schematics and layout for key PCBs and bring simulation* into the way we develop electronics. You will apply your engineering judgment to model behaviors that need to be understood before a board is built, and you will contribute directly to raising the precision and predictability of our hardware. You join a team that moves quickly and builds with intent, but where simulation has not yet played a consistent role. You contribute to the quality of our electronics not only through your designs, but through active participation in design reviews and engineering discussions. You help shape the decisions that influence how the system behaves and evolves. Through your work, we gain clearer insight earlier in the process, catch problems before they appear in the lab, and reduce the number of iterations it takes to get a design right. You help us close the gap between speed and certainty by designing with more depth from the start.
