Your mission
Programme & Content Development - Overall responsibility for the conceptual design and implementation of the convention segment of DSEI Germany in close coordination with executive management
- Development of an innovative setup that goes beyond a traditional conference and sets benchmarks in terms of format and content
- Development, structuring, and continuous optimisation of programme content, including adjustments throughout the planning and implementation process
- Identification of relevant topics, formats, and speaker profiles based on geopolitical, security, and defence policy developments
Speaker & Stakeholder Management - Establishment, maintenance, and management of relationships with ministries, international organisations, national authorities, industry companies, and research institutions
- Acquisition, support, and coordination of high-level speakers and panel participants
- Close coordination with all stakeholders both in the lead-up to the event and during its execution
Dynamic Demonstrations & Live Content - Overall responsibility for the conceptualisation, planning, and execution of dynamic demonstrations of military equipment in close coordination with executive management
- Active contribution to the content-related and conceptual development
- Creation, maintenance, and implementation of a detailed project plan to ensure timely delivery
- Coordination of all participating organisations and partners, taking into account scheduling, security requirements, access regulations, and operational frameworks
- Close collaboration with Event Operations, Safety & Security teams, public authorities, and other internal and external stakeholders
Project Management & Internal Collaboration - Management of defined sub-projects in the areas of content, programme, and demonstrations
- Close collaboration with management, operations, safety & security, and other internal teams
- Ensuring the smooth on-site execution of all programme-related components
Your profile
- In-depth knowledge of international relations, geopolitics, defence, and security
- At least five years of relevant professional experience, e.g. in a defence- or security-related think tank, industry, research institution, or governmental organisation (e.g. German Armed Forces, Federal Ministry of Defence)
- Strong organisational skills, analytical thinking, and a structured, precise working style
- Confident professional presence and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- German and English: business fluent (C1/C2), confident in discussions, presentations, and written communication
Ideally, you also bring:
- Experience with large-scale conferences, trade fairs, or international event formats
- Experience working with political, defence industry, or governmental stakeholders
- Former employees of the Federal Ministry of Defence or the German Armed Forces are expressly welcome
- Flexibility regarding working hours during intensive project phases before and during the event
