Project Manager (m/f/d) Rail / Terminal Construction

Your mission that drives sustainability in logistics

As a Project ​Manager (m/f/d), you are part of our Terminal Project Team and therefore largely responsible for the steady growth of the CargoBeamer network. You will ensure that all cost and feasibility aspects are taken into account throughout the entire project process. You ensure that nothing stops sustainable transport in Europe. Your place of work is Leipzig or remote. 

You do that by:

• Preparing feasibility studies or development appraisals of new CargoBeamer Terminals
• Conducting value management and engineering exercises
• Preparing and maintaining price benchmark database
• Preparing contractual documentation
• Costcontrolling during the construction process through cost estimates and calculations
• Managing the economic success of a project for a contractor
• Valuing construction work for payments and of changes
• Assessing or compiling damage claims and expense claims and expense and agreeing final accounts 
• Participation in bid evaluations from an economic point of view
• Plausibility check of cost estimates and calculations by property and specialist planners
• Preparation of cost reports and cost tracking

Your Background & Skills

• You have a relevant degree or qualification in project management or engineering with a focus on cost management and quantity surveying or comparable
• You have relevant experience in project management in quantity surveying or cost management with a focus on construction costs and cost estimating
• You work flexible and independently
• Your work is process-oriented and thorough, and at the same time analytical 
• Your are business fluent in German and Englisch (B2 level)
• You are open to travel (20%)
• You have advanced Microsoft Excel skills
