Your mission that drives sustainability in logistics
As a Cost Manager / Estimator (m/f/d) for Sustainable Logistics, you play a key role at CargoBeamer in planning and developing innovative and environmentally friendly infrastructure projects. With your precise cost planning and monitoring, you ensure that our terminal projects are not only efficient but also economically successful. Together with our Terminal Project Team, you drive the sustainable transformation of the logistics industry and actively shape the logistics of the future.Your Responsibilities Include:
- You create budget estimates and cost plans that serve as the basis for all project decisions.
- You develop cost proposals that cover the entire process from feasibility to final cost verification.
- You conduct thorough plausibility checks of costs to ensure that all expenditures are traceable and justified.
- You continuously update the cost plans and carry out detailed project cost analyses to monitor financial progress.
- After project initiation, you evaluate change requests and agree on the necessary adjustments.
- You carefully review contract documents, progress payments, and prepare cost control reports to ensure financial transparency.
- You maintain the cost database and cost library to ensure a comprehensive and up-to-date data foundation for future projects.
- You create regular financial progress reports that transparently present the status and developments of the projects.
- You support the team in applying for funding and in commercial reporting to secure project financing.
- You actively participate in customer and site meetings to promote exchange with stakeholders and gather important information.
Your Background & Skills
- You have successfully completed a technical degree in engineering or a comparable field of study that is relevant to the role.
- You bring substantial experience in the commercial handling of infrastructure projects and possess knowledge of standards in construction or large-scale projects, along with a solid technical understanding.
- You have strong analytical skills to evaluate cost and performance data and make informed decisions.
- You possess advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and SharePoint, as well as good knowledge of SAP.
- Experience with the AVA software iTWO “RIB” is a plus, as well as basic knowledge of commercial accounting and its processing procedures.
- You are fluent in German and English, both written and spoken (minimum C1 level).
