About the role
The AI Research Division of Agile Robots is looking for a Working Student (m/f/d) Frontend Designer / UI Developer. This role supports the design and implementation of user interfaces for AI-powered analytical tools used in industrial environments, contributing to dashboards, AI assistant workflows, and data visualization tools used by engineers and factory operators.
Your Responsibilities
- Interface Design: Design usable interfaces for analytics dashboards and AI assistant workflows, covering layout, information hierarchy, and interaction patterns.
- Component Development: Build and maintain frontend components including chat interfaces, data tables, file browsers, and configurable dashboard layouts.
- Data Visualization: Implement interactive charts, plots, and tables with filtering, zooming, selection, and drill-down capabilities.
- API Integration: Connect frontend components to backend APIs and AI model outputs, handling data flow and state management across features.
- Usability Maintenance: Identify and resolve usability issues to keep interfaces responsive, accessible, and visually coherent.
Essential Skills
- Frontend Development: Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript or TypeScript, and a component-based framework such as React or Vue.
- UI/UX Design: Working knowledge of usability principles, layout, information hierarchy, and responsive design applied to data-heavy or engineering interfaces.
- Design Tooling: Experience using Figma or a comparable tool for wireframing, prototyping, and design handoff.
- Visualization Libraries: Ability to build interactive visualizations using libraries such as Plotly, ECharts, or D3.js.
- Backend Integration: Experience connecting frontend components to REST or comparable backend interfaces.
- Version Control: Familiarity with Git in a collaborative development context.
