About the Role
Future Energy Ventures is looking for a Venture Capital Intern to support the collaboration with one of our Limited Partners. In this role, you will work directly with an experienced Investment Manager based at our Berlin office and gain hands-on exposure to the full VC workflow, with meaningful ownership from day one.
Conduct comprehensive market mapping across key technology and sector verticals to identify trends, white spaces, and emerging players
Independently develop and refine investment theses — from initial hypothesis through research and competitive analysis to a structured presentation to the investment team
Proactively source and evaluate high-potential start-ups based on your research
Support ongoing deal flow and pipeline management, including founder outreach and screening
Contribute to portfolio reporting, KPI tracking, and preparation of board and investor materials
Currently enrolled in business, economics, finance, engineering, or a related field
Ideally looking for a mandatory internship (Pflichtpraktikum) as part of your degree programme
Previous internship or working student experience in one or more of the following:
Strategy consulting
Venture capital or private equity
Investment banking / equity research
VC-backed start-ups
A structured, hypothesis-driven approach to problem-solving
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with founders and internal stakeholders
High level of motivation, ownership and intellectual curiosity
A proactive, self-directed working style
Fluent in English
