Internship – Procurement Category Management (m/f/d)

We are looking for a motivated and driven Intern (m/f/d) for our Procurement Category Management Team. This Category Management Team is managing strategic supplier relationships, as well as risks, and driving sourcing initiatives focused on value creation and cost efficiency. This internship is full-time (40 hours per week) for 6 months, with the possibility of extension. It is based in Munich (hybrid model, with 3 days per week in the office). 

About the Role

• Opportunity to get to know strategic purchasing activities and insights into the entire procurement proces
• Support with tender and inquiry processes as well as the maintenance of supplier and contract data
• Preparation of market research, analysis of offers, and negotiations with suppliers in cooperation with relevant stakeholders
• Creating reports and conducting analyses on supplier contracts, spend, and more
• Contribution to the optimization and development of purchasing and supplier management solutions
• Communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  
• Cooperation with Category Managers on initiatives to drive cost efficiencies
  

About You

• Enrolled student or graduate in Business, Economics or a similar field
• Ideally first practical experience in procurement, supplier management and development, of a start-up/dynamic company
• Fluent in English; proficiency in German
• Profound experience within MS Office (particularly Word and Excel)
• Strong analytical and communication skills, readiness of mind and attention to detail
• Proactive, goal-driven personality, with a dedicated, team-oriented mindset
• Enthusiasm, a high level of initiative as well as high reliability
