Our mission is to bring Clean K-Beauty Innovations, from Korea straight to Europe, UK, and the US, without ever compromising on our values, quality, and sustainability. Our clean, mindfully produced skincare products are made with love in Korea, vegan, cruelty-free, and packed with the best natural and active ingredients.
Founded in 2020 by Sander Joonyoung van Bladel and Veronika Strotmann, Yepoda is a fast-growing beauty start-up based in the heart of Berlin. Our products are available across Europe and, since March 2025, at Sephora Europe, online and in over 250 stores. As a certified B Corp™, we are committed to building a business with purpose. With a team of over 120 brilliant individuals from around the world, we are actively shaping Yepoda’s story every day.
You will join our People & Culture team and work closely with your fellow P&C Manager to jointly own the full employee experience for our 130-person team. Your responsibilities will include:
Acting as the primary point of contact for employees and managers across your assigned teams, providing trusted, day-to-day HR support and guidance on all people-related matters.
Owning and continuously improving core HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding, performance cycles, probation reviews, and absence management – ensuring they run smoothly and consistently at scale.
Building strong relationships with team leads and managers, coaching them on people management best practices, giving and receiving feedback, and navigating team dynamics.
Driving our Learning & Development agenda: identifying development needs, curating and coordinating training programmes, and supporting individual growth plans in partnership with managers.
Supporting compensation and benefits processes, including salary review cycles, benchmarking, and ensuring our offering remains competitive as we grow.
Contributing to employee engagement initiatives – pulse surveys, team events, recognition programmes – and translating insights into actionable improvements.
Advising on and handling employee relations matters with sensitivity and professionalism, escalating where appropriate.
Maintaining accurate people data and HR systems, and producing regular reporting and analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
Collaborating on cross-functional P&C projects such as culture initiatives, organisational design support, and process automation.
You have 5+ years of experience, including roles like HR Generalist, HRBP, or People & Culture Manager, ideally within a fast-growing startup or scale-up environment.
You are a people person at heart – empathetic, approachable, and skilled at building trust with employees and managers at all levels of the organisation.
You have solid hands-on experience running HR processes end-to-end, from onboarding to performance management, and you care about getting the details right.
You have a genuine passion for Learning & Development and experience designing or coordinating training programmes that have a real impact.
You are comfortable operating independently and proactively – you spot a gap, you build a solution.
You bring strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
You communicate clearly and with warmth – in writing and in person – and adapt your style depending on your audience.
You are data-literate: comfortable working with HR metrics, producing reports, and using data to support your recommendations.
You are fluent in English; German language skills are a strong advantage given our Berlin base and local regulations.
You are familiar with German labour law or have hands-on experience working within a German-based company.
Experience with any HRIS systems is essential, preferably Personio.
Familiarity with ATS systems (e.g. Ashby, Greenhouse, or similar) is a plus.
Dynamic Environment: The opportunity to work in a start-up environment surrounded by a passionate and dedicated team.
Accelerate Your Career: Take on responsibility from day 1, with room for professional growth and advancement as the company continues to expand.
Inspiring Workspace: Located in the heart of Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg, a dog-friendly office, with free drinks and snacks.
Hybrid Working: We understand that sometimes you get more stuff done from home and need a change of scenery.
We Value Diversity: We seek to build an inclusive workplace that welcomes people from all different backgrounds. A welcoming, international, dedicated team with flat hierarchies and trust by default.
Employee Discounts: You’ll get to enjoy the Yepoda products at a discount and share it with friends and family to keep your glow going!
Unique add-ons: Enjoy an Urban Sports membership package to help you stay active and healthy.
