As a Game QA Tester, you will actively contribute to the quality of our upcoming survival-to-city-builder RPG Solid River.
You will work hands-on with game builds throughout development, identifying bugs, inconsistencies and gameplay issues. This role comes with real impact: your findings directly influence priorities, fixes, and improvements in the game.
You don’t need extensive experience, what matters is passion for games, attention to detail, and the motivation to take ownership and grow within the role.
Test game builds and features across different development stages
Identify, reproduce, and clearly describe bugs and unexpected behavior
Verify bug fixes and support regression testing
Create and maintain structured test cases for assigned areas
Participate in regular playtests and provide actionable gameplay feedback
Work closely with designers and programmers to clarify expected behavior
Support internal and external playtests, including preparation and follow-up
Take ownership of specific systems or test areas over time
Contribute to improving QA workflows, documentation, and tooling
Strong passion for games, especially survival, building, and RPG games
Interest in complex gameplay systems, progression, and balance
High attention to detail and a structured way of working
Sense of responsibility for the quality of your work and the player experience
Ability to clearly describe issues and feedback in English (German is a plus)
Motivation to learn new tools, workflows, and game engines
Ability to work on-site in Munich and collaborate closely with the team
Nice to have, but not required:
First experience with game testing, playtesting, mods, or early-access games
Basic familiarity with Unreal Engine or other game engines
A hands-on QA role with real impact on the game
Responsibility from day one, with guidance and mentoring
A clear path to grow into more senior or lead QA responsibilities
Close collaboration with design, engineering, and production teams
A motivated and international team working on ambitious game systems
Modern tools and AI-powered workflows
