Brief Role Description

 

Within Volkswagen, we are the integrated competence center for connected cars. We specialize in providing research and development services in the field of software-based systems for the mobility of the future. We develop modern architectures, modules and processes for the connected cars of tomorrow.
In the "connected car" context, vehicles become active participants in the Internet and classic on-board systems in the vehicle meet cloud environments. As with the "Internet of Things" (IoT), a large number of communication technologies and aspects of IT security are linked with each other.

 

The hourly wage of a working student is €17.50.

Possible Tasks within this Role

• Construction, commissioning, conversion and maintenance of test systems
• Installation and removal of control units in vehicles
• Vehicle networking of all control units (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
• Software updates and parameterization of ECUs in test systems and vehicles
• Manufacture and modification of test setups according to specification
• Collaborate in a cross-functional team
• Communication with internal customers
• Insights into the development of ECUs in the automotive environment
• Recording and maintenance of ECUs in database systems
• Documentation of modifications and results

Qualification requirements

• General manual skills
• Basic knowledge in the field of electrics/electronics is an advantage
• First experience in handling hardware components
• Reliable and conscientious way of working
• Interest in software, hardware and promising technologies
• Good written and spoken German and English skills
