Turner & Townsend are leaders in professional services to the Data Centre sector globally. Due to the continued success and expansion of our Data Centre business in Germany, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager (m/f/d) to join our Data Centre team in Frankfurt.
In this role, you will oversee the pre-construction, construction, commissioning, and close-out phases of a hyperscale, state of the art data center project for a global technology client onsite.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all mechanical pre-construction activities, including design constructability, procurement, contracts, and budget planning
- Act as the main point of contact for mechanical-related client concerns and communication
- Ensure mechanical construction is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Oversee installation of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and related infrastructure
- Align mechanical designs with overall project intent and client expectations, resolving issues during construction
- Support design teams with constructability and localization, collaborating across disciplines
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety protocols throughout all phases
- Provide technical guidance to ensure contract documents and specifications are regionally relevant
- Play a key role in selecting and procuring contractors and vendors
- Supervise mechanical subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure quality and safety compliance
- Maintain full-time on-site presence for inspections and construction supervision
- Lead commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring operational performance and complete documentation
- Manage final project closeout and seamless handover of mechanical systems to the client
- Advise clients and protect their interests throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify and mitigate risks related to mechanical systems
- Enforce quality control and ensure adherence to local regulations
- Approve subcontractor invoices and monitor work schedules
- Conduct site safety audits and ensure health and safety compliance
- Track progress against project schedule and budget, addressing delays or cost overruns
- Manage scope changes with proper documentation and approval processes
