Our Game Plan
Are you driven by turning breakthrough technology into real-world energy projects? Do you want to help take deep geothermal from prototype to field deployment at scale?
At Telura, we’re developing the next-generation drilling system which uses ultra-high-voltage electro-impulses to fracture hard rock, essentially “destroying with lightning”, to enable economically viable drilling beyond today's hotspots and unlock affordable baseload energy anywhere. The physics is well understood, but success depends on how this technology interacts with real subsurface conditions.
Founded in 2025 and based in Munich, Telura is working closely with leading European universities, is supported by SPRIND, and has raised $5m to date from leading German investors.
As we build toward real-world deployment, we’re looking to connect with a senior geothermal systems leader to help shape how our technology moves from lab to field.
What you will do
Provide system-level leadership across geothermal development concepts, from drilling and well architecture through to field-scale deployment
Help define how Telura’s drilling technology integrates into real geothermal projects, including implications for cost, performance, and reliability
Take a leading role in shaping and supporting early field trials of Telura’s drilling technology with selected partners and customers, as well as planning and executing early customer trial projects, including alignment on scope, success criteria, site constraints and operational readiness
Advise on site selection, well concepts, and deployment strategies for pilot and demonstration projects
Translate drilling and subsurface performance into project-level and techno-economic implications
Act as a key interface between Telura’s engineering team and the geothermal ecosystem (operators, developers, utilities, regulators)
Lead technical coordination with customers and partners through trial planning, permitting, approvals, and site preparation, in close collaboration with internal teams, and support engagement with other strategic partners and research institutions
Work closely with the founders and product team on roadmap, priorities, and long-term field strategy
What we are looking for
Senior experience in geothermal development, subsurface energy, or related deep subsurface domains
Strong systems thinking across drilling, reservoirs, surface infrastructure, and project development
Experience engaging with or leading field trials, pilot projects, or early deployments
Ability to work with evolving data, uncertainty, and early-stage technology
Comfort operating at the intersection of engineering, operations, and strategy
A collaborative mindset and interest in helping build something from the ground up
What we offer
The opportunity to shape how a breakthrough drilling technology is taken into the field
Early influence on deployment strategy and customer-facing validation
Flexible engagement model (full-time, part-time, or advisory)
Direct collaboration with the founding team
A key role in a company building one of the most ambitious geothermal platforms globally
Equity participation aligned with long-term impact and commitment
Equity participation aligned with long-term commitment and impact
A modern office in the Munich Urban Colab, embedded in an innovation ecosystem
Accident insurance and supplementary company health insurance
Company pension scheme
Ready to help unlock geothermal energy, everywhere?
We’d love to hear how you’d help take a new drilling technology from prototype to the field.
