Senior DevOps Engineer (m/f/x)

Your mission

As a Senior DevOps Engineer (m/f/x) at SysEleven, you build and deliver APIs for the operation and automation of our as-a-Service products, such as Database as a Service. You automate processes using Infrastructure as Code and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure scalable, secure infrastructures. With GitOps and Kubernetes orchestration, you minimize operational effort and enable reliable deployments that drive our customers’ success. You foster a culture of continuous learning and problem-solving to tackle complex challenges and shape the future of our services.

Your tasks

• Develop and maintain our Database and Observability as a Service products
• Manage container-based applications within Kubernetes with a strong focus on security
• Apply GitOps principles using Helm and Argo CD
• Develop API services and tooling in Go to provide Software as a Service
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment workflows
• Design and maintain scalable infrastructures using IaC tools (Terraform) in cloud environments

Requirements

• Experience with Linux and Kubernetes in production environments, as well as with GitOps tools
• Hands-on experience developing in Go (experience with Python or Rust is a plus)
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or OpenTofu
• Familiarity with CI systems, especially GitLab CI
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and the Grafana stack, as well as with OS image building (VMs, bare metal, or containers)
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, plus proficiency in German and/or English at a B2 level
