We are looking for someone with a quantitative academic background, professional experience in equity markets, derivatives, or index maintenance, and a curiosity for trends in investing. Manage and oversee a diverse portfolio of thematic equity indices, balancing operational execution with an understanding of the underlying investment strategy to ensure accuracy, stability, and timely delivery across all rebalancing cycles.
Execute systematic, rules-based selection and rebalancing of both Solactive and client indices.
Conduct research on thematic investment trends and apply quantitative, rules-based approaches for index construction, weighting, and systematic rebalancing.
Act as a key contact for an international client base, including leading investment banks, asset managers, hedge funds, and trading desks - translating complex thematic concepts into clear, actionable insights.
Develop, enhance, and maintain index algorithms within the company’s framework.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in index operations.
Collaborate closely with data engineers, business analysts and developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
Academic degree in Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or Engineering
At least 2 years of experience in index or equity markets operations, or in a similar process-driven financial environment, with exposure to quantitative models, portfolio concepts, or systematic investment strategies
Familiarity with thematic investing concepts, investment strategies, portfolio optimization or a related field
Innovative, analytical thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and high attention to detail
Excellent communication and client relationship skills, with the ability to clearly explain investment concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Highly organized, capable of managing multiple operational cycles and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset and intercultural competence
Proficiency in programming languages preferably in Python, though experience in VBA, MATLAB, or SQL is also valued
