At Saltz, we believe the finest ingredients should be available in one marketplace. For too long, the culinary world has been tangled in a web of distributors and hidden costs, separating passionate chefs from incredible producers. We’re changing that.
Saltz is the digital marketplace where quality and creativity connect directly. We empower chefs to discover and source an incredible variety of fresh ingredients, from local farms to international craftsmen, with complete transparency. For producers, we unlock a global market overnight. An oyster farm can join Saltz today and be selling to hundreds of restaurants across six countries by tomorrow. That’s the power of our platform.
We are a VC-backed, fast-growing startup, and we’re unapologetically ambitious. Our vision is to connect thousands of suppliers with thousands of chefs across hundreds of cities, creating a new, efficient, and transparent ecosystem for fresh food.
About the role:
In this role, you will take ownership of the Saltz brand event program and community growth initiatives. This includes developing new event formats and community activations from strategy to execution, working closely with our partners in the gastronomy world.
We approach events with a strong social-first mindset. Every activation should translate into compelling content and meaningful community touchpoints. You will therefore collaborate closely with our social media efforts, contributing ideas, shaping formats, and supporting hands-on execution to ensure our events live both offline and online.
What your days will look like:
Build and scale Saltz’s brand event program from the ground up: from intimate chef tastings to larger community activations
Own end-to-end event planning and execution, coordinating multiple stakeholders (chefs, suppliers, venues, partners)
Develop creative, out-of-the-box event concepts with a strong community-first mindset
Manage budgets, timelines, and operational details to ensure smooth delivery and high-quality experiences
Create repeatable systems and processes that allow events to scale efficiently over time
Shape and evolve Saltz’s social content strategy, developing new formats and storytelling angles
Collaborate with external design and production partners to create and brief social assets
Balance strategic planning with hands-on execution, including content creation, editing coordination, caption writing, and posting
Track performance and analytics to optimize content and engagement
What you need:
Proven project or event management experience, with the ability to organize events across varying budgets
A “doer” mentality—comfortable taking ownership and seeing ideas through from start to finish
A strong sense of trends and deep understanding of social media and community engagement strategies
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
A creative mindset and the ability to continuously evolve event formats and approaches
What you get:
Flexibility to organise your work and hours the way you like, our remote-first setup enables this for everyone
Join an innovative, VC-backed company with big ambitions and the pace to match
Real freedom to own decisions and run experiments, we’re looking for people who help us figure out what to do, not people waiting to be told
No approval loops or unnecessary processes: quick decision-making, full ownership of your function, and high trust by default
Work with sharp, entrepreneurial, fun people who are genuinely great at what they do and love building
