Senior Regional Controller - Germany (m/f/d)

The Regional Controller Germany (m/f/d) plays a key role in safeguarding the financial performance of multiple sites within the Solid Board Central Europe region. This position is responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, driving budget and forecast processes, supporting investment and cost analysis, and ensuring compliance with internal and external financial standards. Acting as a business partner for the wider region, the Regional Controller provides insightful analyses and helps optimize profitability, efficiency, and long-term business success.

Your mission:

• Oversee financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, while delivering clear insights for strategic decision-making
• Monitor and optimise costs, analysing raw material expenses, production KPIs, and operational efficiency to drive cost-saving initiatives
• Lead ERP-related financial processes, ensuring effective system implementation, data integrity, and continuous process improvements (e.g. SAP FI/CO)
• Support business transformation, managing the financial aspects of change initiatives such as process redesigns, system upgrades, and integrations
• Ensure full financial compliance, including timely and accurate reporting under IFRS/local GAAP, managing internal controls, and leading audits
• Regional business partner, providing financial insights to support strategic initiatives and business decisions

 

Your profile:

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, or a comparable field, ideally with a focus on manufacturing finance
• Minimum of five years of professional experience in a finance-related role with a strong emphasis on analysis and controlling
• Fluency in German and English is essential
• At least 5 years of experience in supporting multiple sites, especially in the manufacturing industry
• Solid understanding of financial principles and accounting, combined with strong analytical skills
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; high IT affinity and ideally experience with SAP (especially CO/PA)
• Structured, detail-oriented, and self-driven working style with a high level of initiative
• Strong team orientation, openness, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders in a plant environment
