Your mission:
About the RoleWe are seeking an entrepreneurial Commercial Director (m/f/d) to work alongside the management team at meteocontrol Energy GmbH to shape the next phase of our company’s growth. You will be responsible for commercial development—from strategy and market positioning to building a high-performing sales team. As a sparring partner to the management team, you will combine market insight with technical expertise, develop strategic customer relationships, and drive deals forward—particularly in the rapidly growing market for commercial energy storage in the DACH region and Europe.
Your Mission- Strategic development of the commercial direction and market strategy in close collaboration with the management team
- Building, leading, and developing a successful sales and business development team
- Responsibility for revenue growth, market expansion, and managing key accounts in the DACH region and Europe
- Developing sustainable sales structures, processes, and KPIs
- Identifying new market opportunities, partnerships, and business areas
- Representing the company to customers, partners, and at industry events
Your profile:
- Several years of experience in a senior sales or business development role, ideally in the energy, infrastructure, or cleantech sectors
- Proven success in building and leading sales teams
- Entrepreneurial mindset and experience in strategic market and business development
- Basic technical understanding of energy systems, battery storage, or related technologies
- Operational sales experience combined with strategic thinking
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, confident demeanor at the C-level
- Experience in building and managing customer and partner networks in Europe
- Fluent in German and English
