Create mechanical components and custom equipment for our production lab
Hands-on involvement in developing, assembling and testing new opto-mechanical setups
Analyze and optimize mechanical tolerances, stability, and alignment in our handling, gluing, and measurement processes
Standardize mechanical fixtures on the production line while enabling product customization
Work with external workshops and partners for custom manufacturing and sourcing
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (e.g., precision engineering, mechatronics), with solid practical experience in industrial manufacturing
Experience with 3D CAD software for mechanical design (e.g. Fusion 360, Onshape, Solid Edge)
Expertise in precision positioning applications (sub-micron), including vibration and mechanical stability considerations
Fluent communication in English
3 years or more of work experience in an industrial environment are desirable
Familiarity with cleanroom-compatible materials and design practices is desirable
