Regional Sales Manager - Logistics (Packaging)

Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing, internationally operating manufacturer of innovative cargo-securement systems. With a strong presence across global supply chains, this business is on an exciting growth trajectory and is looking to appoint a commercially driven Regional Sales Manager to lead business development across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

This is a field-based role with a preference for candidates located in Belgium, Germany, or the Netherlands. The successful candidate will be a self-starting, relationship-focused professional with a strong commercial track record in industrial or logistics-related sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth & Market Development

• Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for the EMEA region, in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Identify new market opportunities, emerging trends, and customer segments to drive sustainable revenue growth.
• Build robust prospecting strategies and develop a scalable, high-quality sales pipeline.

Channel & Partner Development

• Establish, grow, and manage direct sales channels and distributor networks across the EMEA territory.
• Evaluate and expand the scope of existing distributor relationships to maximise commercial outcomes.
• Provide guidance and support to account managers on partner strategy, performance, and enablement.

Customer Engagement & Commercial Execution

• Act as a key commercial point of contact for customers, end users, and channel partners across the region.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships at multiple levels within client organisations.
• Uphold high standards of service through proactive communication and responsive commercial practices.

Performance & Operational Alignment

• Collaborate with leadership to define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators aligned with regional growth targets.
• Coordinate with warehousing partners to ensure commercial activities and customer requirements are met effectively.
• Champion a culture of customer value, continuous improvement, and service excellence.

Die Stelle ist in Deutschland angesiedelt. Die gesuchte Person ist eine initiative, beziehungsorientierte Fachkraft mit nachgewiesener kommerzieller Erfahrung im industriellen oder logistiknahen Umfeld.

Hauptaufgaben

Strategisches Wachstum & Marktentwicklung

• Entwicklung und Umsetzung einer umfassenden Geschäftsentwicklungsstrategie für die EMEA-Region in enger Abstimmung mit der Unternehmensführung.
• Identifikation neuer Marktchancen, aufkommender Trends und Kundensegmente zur Förderung eines nachhaltigen Umsatzwachstums.
• Aufbau robuster Akquisestrategien und Entwicklung einer skalierbaren, hochwertigen Vertriebspipeline.

Kanal- & Partnerentwicklung

• Aufbau, Ausbau und Management direkter Vertriebskanäle sowie Distributionsnetzwerke im gesamten EMEA-Gebiet.
• Bewertung und Erweiterung bestehender Distributor-Beziehungen zur Maximierung kommerzieller Ergebnisse.
• Beratung und Unterstützung von Account Managern in den Bereichen Partnerstrategie, Performance und Enablement.

Kundenengagement & kommerzielle Umsetzung

• Funktion als zentraler kommerzieller Ansprechpartner für Kunden, Endanwender und Kanalpartner in der Region.
• Aufbau und Pflege langfristiger, belastbarer Beziehungen auf verschiedenen Ebenen innerhalb von Kundenorganisationen.
• Sicherstellung hoher Servicestandards durch proaktive Kommunikation und reaktionsschnelle kommerzielle Praktiken.

Performance & operative Ausrichtung

• Zusammenarbeit mit der Unternehmensführung bei der Definition, Überwachung und dem Reporting von KPIs, die auf regionale Wachstumsziele ausgerichtet sind.
• Koordination mit Lagerpartnern zur effektiven Unterstützung kommerzieller Aktivitäten und Kundenanforderungen.
• Förderung einer Unternehmenskultur, die auf Kundenmehrwert, kontinuierliche Verbesserung und Serviceexzellenz ausgerichtet ist.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in a regional sales, business development, or commercial management role, ideally within an international or multi-territory environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage distributor networks and channel partnerships.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
• Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Fluency in both German and Dutch (spoken and written) is essential for this role, given the territory covered.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively (approximately 4–5 days per week, face-to-face with customers and suppliers), including international travel within EMEA and to the USA.
• Comfortable working in non-climate-controlled warehouse environments and near mechanical equipment on occasion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in industrial packaging, logistics, supply chain, or cargo-securement sectors.
• Experience managing multi-country territories across EMEA.
• Familiarity with warehouse and distribution operations and requirements.
• Additional language skills relevant to the EMEA region are advantageous.

Anforderungsprofil

• Nachgewiesene Erfahrung in einer regionalen Vertriebs-, Geschäftsentwicklungs- oder kommerziellen Managementfunktion, idealerweise in einem internationalen oder Mehrländer-Umfeld.
• Belegte Fähigkeit zum Aufbau und Management von Distributionsnetzwerken und Kanalpartnerschaften.
• Ausgeprägte kommerzielle Kompetenz mit einer nachweislichen Erfolgsbilanz beim Erreichen und Übertreffen von Umsatzzielen.
• Ausgezeichnete Fähigkeiten im Beziehungsaufbau und in der Verhandlungsführung sowie die Fähigkeit, Stakeholder auf allen Ebenen anzusprechen.
• Fließende Kenntnisse in Deutsch und Niederländisch (mündlich und schriftlich) sind für diese Stelle aufgrund des betreuten Vertriebsgebiets zwingend erforderlich.
• Bereitschaft und Fähigkeit zu ausgedehnten Reisetätigkeiten (ca. 4–5 Tage pro Woche, persönliche Treffen mit Kunden und Lieferanten), einschließlich internationaler Reisen innerhalb der EMEA-Region und in die USA.
• Bereitschaft, gelegentlich in nicht klimatisierten Lagerumgebungen und in der Nähe mechanischer Anlagen zu arbeiten.

Wünschenswerte Qualifikationen

• Hintergrund in der industriellen Verpackung, Logistik, Supply Chain oder in der Ladungssicherungsbranche.
• Erfahrung in der Betreuung von Mehrländer-Vertriebsgebieten innerhalb der EMEA-Region.
• Vertrautheit mit Lager- und Distributionsprozessen.
• Weitere Sprachkenntnisse mit Bezug zur EMEA-Region sind von Vorteil.
