Motion Designer (Remote from Germany)

We are currently looking for a Motion Designer in Germany.This is a unique opportunity to shape the visual experience of a leading finance platform through motion design. You will define and implement the motion language across products, creating micro-interactions, transitions, and animations that make complex workflows intuitive and enjoyable. Working closely with product designers and engineers, you will take ownership of the motion design system, ensuring consistency and scalability. The role combines creative freedom with hands-on execution, bridging design and engineering to deliver polished, delightful user experiences. You will directly impact how thousands of finance teams interact with the platform every day. Ideal candidates are self-directed, collaborative, and have a strong portfolio of shipped product animations.

Accountabilities:

Design UI animations, micro-interactions, and transitions across multiple products

Create engaging loading states, onboarding flows, and moments of delight that enhance the user experience

Build and maintain a motion design system, defining principles for timing, easing, and movement

Collaborate closely with product designers and engineers, implementing animations in code using tools like Lottie, Rive, Framer Motion, or CSS

Ensure consistency and scalability of motion across product interfaces

Contribute to the evolution of the design system and bridge the gap between visual design and engineering

Requirements:

3–5+ years of professional experience in motion design with demonstrable product/UI animation work

Strong portfolio showcasing shipped product animations

Proficiency with Figma and motion prototyping within design workflows

Comfortable implementing animations in code (Lottie, Rive, Framer Motion, CSS, etc.)

Deep understanding of animation principles and their application in product interfaces

Self-directed, collaborative, and capable of owning a discipline independently

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience producing video content, motion graphics, or brand animations

3D skills using tools like Cinema 4D or Blender for product visualizations

Background in fintech, accounting software, or B2B SaaS

Experience building or contributing to a motion design system
