For our Technical Knowledge Management, Training and Communication team we are looking for a Communication Manager (f/m/d).
The Communication Manager goes beyond strong communication skills and brings a creative, innovative mindset with the ability to think outside the box. This role is closely connected to our business, with a genuine interest in ensuring that the knowledge generated by our competence centers is effectively shared on a global scale and reaches the right audiences.
This position is located in Heidelberg and you will report to the Head of Technical Knowledge Management, Training and Communication.
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE
Strategy and Coordination:
Develop and implement a comprehensive digital communication strategy for Global Competence Centers, including Intranet, Newsletters, Reports, Videos, and Internal Social Media
Act as a central contact for internal stakeholders
Acts as an enabler and support alignment across the Competence Centers
Virtual/Live Meetings:
Support the overall coordination of virtual/live meetings and related marketing and communication materials
Support the recording and production of training events
Intranet and Digital Workplace:
Provide ongoing support to maintain and efficiently update intranet content
Support the Global Competence Centers in communication-related discussions with other functional teams (e.g., Digital, Sustainability)
Act as a digital workplace expert, providing solutions that support business objectives
Serve as the go-to partner for reviewing global content and creating new content for the Competence Centers
Newsletters, Communication and Marketing Materials:
Prepare and manage the Competence Center monthly newsletters incl. their dissemination, target groups, and content development and review process.
Maintain Competence Center SharePoint Pages on the intranet and sharepoint online and manage libraries, documents and information materials incl. videos, pictures, documents, etc.
Create marketing materials (incl. teasers, trailers) for upcoming and ongoing projects per needs
Develop video guidelines and documentation for user adoption of rich media
Maintain key user groups for targeted communication campaigns in our Active Directory.
Training and Knowledge Sharing:
Improve the visibility of the Competence Centers in terms of their training and knowledge sharing offerings by partnering with Academy Heads and Training Coordinators to ensure there is visibility on their instructor led offers and digital learning offerings
Support in developing training materials in various formats and their regular review
Support in organizing, facilitating, and following up on training sessions/initiatives
Promote knowledge sharing initiatives within the organization
Project Management and Content Production:
Drive the creative process by jointly managing and designing communication projects with the Competence Centers, supporting their initiatives and our businesses through digital and printed media, including but not limited to training course catalogues, guidebooks, handbooks, agendas, stickers, websites, newsletters, posters and tools
Coordinate the development and implementation of the annual Communication Plan for the Global Competence Centers in alignment with Group Directors
YOUR PROFILE
You bring a University degree
Ideally you bring experience in an industrial environment or demonstrate the ability to quickly understand complex technical contexts and translate them into clear, practical communication
Creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to think outside the box and continuously challenge traditional ways of communicating
You demonstrate a strong connection to the business, with a genuine interest in understanding operations
Charismatic, proactive, and willing to experiment, stepping out of your comfort zone
Able to work confidently with senior stakeholders, including directors, acting as a trusted partner who can align, influence, and challenge when necessary
You bring a Hands-on and pragmatic approach, willing to be on-site and engage directly with plant teams and operational environments
Capable of managing end-to-end content production, including planning, filming, recording, and editing, ensuring efficient in-house delivery of high-quality materials
Strong attention to detail
