Why This Role Matters
As our People Generalist, you won’t just run HR processes - you’ll own the people function end-to-end. From hiring and onboarding to culture, events, and operational processes, you’ll ensure our team can grow without friction while keeping the ecoplanet experience human, high-trust, and high-performance.
This role sits at the center of our scaling team, working closely with founders and managers, and offers real autonomy and strategic impact.
What You’ll Achieve
People Operations & Employee Experience
- Own end-to-end operational people processes: payroll, HRIS, contracts, benefits, leave, and documentation
- Run onboarding and offboarding, ensuring every team member feels supported
- Continuously improve processes so they’re lightweight, scalable, and easy to use
- Ensure compliance with German and European labor regulations, proactively flagging risks
- Support managers and founders with day-to-day HR topics and operational challenges
Talent & Recruiting
- Build and own candidate pipelines, actively sourcing top talent
- Screen CVs and run initial interviews
- Coordinate full recruiting processes from role launch to offer, including scheduling and candidate communication
- Maintain our rolling hiring plan and joiner forecast
- Make sure our values and culture shine through in every hire
Culture & Team Experience
- Organize team events, offsites, and cultural initiatives
- Plan onsites and team gatherings, including travel and logistics for remote employees
- Support manager development and leadership initiatives
- Oversee office operations with support from our working student (supplies, inventory, cleaning, etc.)
- Ensure our culture scales while remaining high-trust, high-performance, and human
What Sets You Up for Success
Must-Haves- 2–4 years experience in People Operations, HR, Recruiting, or People & Culture roles, ideally in a startup or fast-growing environment
- Highly organized and reliable, able to own both process design and execution
- Hands-on operator who thrives on solving problems directly
- Strong project management skills, able to juggle multiple priorities
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity, applying judgment in fast-moving situations
- Natural people partner — enjoys working closely with founders and managers
- Professional proficiency in English (B2) and German (C2)
Nice-to-Haves- Experience in B2B SaaS or tech startups
- Familiarity with HRIS, payroll coordination, or recruiting tools
- Experience organizing team events or offsites
- Passion for building company culture and scalable people processes
