Join our data crew. Our data studio Hamburg is seeking a Data Steward (all genders) with strong experience in metadata management and data modelling. The primary responsibility is to support Data Owners in retrieving metadata from source systems, ingesting it into Collibra, and modelling data products that are fit for purpose and aligned with the Collibra Operating Model.
 
This is a client-facing role, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple technical and business teams.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Documentation of metadata and modelling of data products in Collibra

• Support for Data Owners in the retrieval, transformation, and ingestion of metadata into the Data Catalog

• Mapping of metadata from diverse data sources to Collibra data asset types

• Conducting of interviews and onboarding sessions with Data Owners

• Design of responsibility and ownership structures within Collibra (e.g., domains, communities, roles)

• Creation of shoppable data products in Collibra aligned with defined use cases

• Collaboration with architects, developers, infrastructure and networking teams, and other stakeholders

• Work execution within a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment

WHAT YOU BRING ALONG

Must‑haves:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong data modelling skills and understanding of data architecture.

• Proven experience in metadata management.

• Ability to learn new tools and concepts quickly.

• Excellent command of English.

 
Nice‑to‑haves:

• Collibra expertise, ideally Collibra Data Steward certification

• Practical experience with the Collibra Operating Model

• Good understanding of data integration, interoperability, and Data Mesh principles.

• Experience working within SAFe or Scrum environments.

• Very good German language skills (at least C1-level).
