To support our ambition of designing the insurance experience of the future and driving operational excellence, we are expanding our Strategic Operations team. We are therefore looking for a Senior Operations Data Analyst (m/f/d) to join us full-time, based in Berlin. This is a hybrid role with a primary working location at our office on Chausseestraße in Berlin.
As a Senior Operations Data Analyst, you will take ownership of our operational data landscape and turn complex datasets into actionable insights that drive real business impact. Working closely with our Data Platform team and our Business Intelligence Lead, you will analyse and interpret data across claims, customer service, loss ratios, employee performance, and customer satisfaction - enabling data-driven decision-making and continuous operational improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
Own Operations Data
Take full responsibility for the accuracy, consistency, and usability of operational data, reporting, and insights
Analyse data from multiple sources (e.g. claims, customer service, operational performance) to uncover trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs such as loss ratios, service quality, and customer satisfaction
Deliver clear, actionable insights to non-technical stakeholders and support ad-hoc analyses for Operations and Management
Advance our Operations Data Model
Identify anomalies, inefficiencies, and process improvement opportunities through deep data analysis
Translate business requirements into precise data needs and help shape the operations data roadmap
Collaborate closely with the Data Platform team to ensure data integrity, scalability, and alignment with business priorities
Strategic Operations Data Projects
Provide leadership with data-driven insights on high-impact topics (e.g. customer segmentation, CSAT analysis, performance optimisation)
Act as a trusted advisor to management on critical business questions, using data to guide strategic decisions
Lead cross-functional analytical initiatives, such as integrating new markets into our reporting landscape or supporting pricing and product analytics for new insurance products
Requirements
Must-have
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent professional experience
At least 4 years of experience in operations data analysis, ideally in a B2C environment
Strong skills in SQL and BI tools (e.g. Metabase, Looker, Tableau)
Proven track record of using data and metrics to improve business performance
Experience building or optimising data models
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
Business-fluent German and English
Nice-to-have
Experience working closely with leadership or C-level stakeholders on strategic, data-driven decisions
Knowledge of insurtech or fintech data environments
