Regulatory & ESG Research Internship

Your mission

Are you interested in the intersection of law, ESG, and technology? Join our Regulatory Team as a Regulatory & ESG Research Intern and help strengthen the regulatory insights that power Datamaran’s platform. You’ll gain hands-on experience in legal research, ESG frameworks, and database management while supporting the team in maintaining an accurate and up-to-date regulatory database.

What You’ll Work On

• Researching ESG-related regulations, directives, reporting frameworks, guidelines, and industry initiatives.

• Monitoring government and parliament websites and newsletters to identify new regulations.

• Conducting deep-dive research into specific jurisdictions, ESG topics, sectors, or regulatory areas.

• Supporting ad-hoc research projects (approx. two per month) for clients and internal teams.

• Performing regulatory analysis (supported by AI tools), including data entry and quality checks.

• Reducing the team’s regulatory backlog by reviewing, analyzing, and adding initiatives to the database.

• Contributing to ongoing data quality and database maintenance projects.

Your profile

• Strong research and data analysis skills.

• Advanced English writing skills.

• Familiarity with diverse legal systems, and an understanding of hard laws vs. soft norms.

• Knowledge of legal analysis and research techniques.

• Attention to detail and high accuracy.

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

• Comfortable working with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
