About the role

Steam Turbines & Compressors Senior Technician is responsible for overseeing assembly operations, ensuring product quality, and coordinating the work of assembly team members. This role provides technical support, monitors workflow, and ensures adherence to safety and quality standards.

Main tasks and responsibilities

 1.      Performing the dismantling, inspection, repair, and assembly on steam turbines and centrifugal compressors.

2.      Complete overhaul of steam turbines and compressors, including full dismantling to component level, detailed inspection, repairing damaged components, and fully rebuilding the machine.

3.      Rotor assembly, inspection, and dynamic balancing.

4.      Following work-packs, Standard Operating Procedures, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and quality plan.

5.      Filling inspection sheets, assessing equipment condition, identifying requirements for repairs and / or replacement of components.

6.      Safe use of hand tools, power tools, hydraulic / pneumatic tools, and hot work activities.

7.      Accurate use of conventional inspection tools and instruments.

8.      Safe use of overhead crane and lifting activities.

9.      Maintaining tools and equipment in safe and serviceable condition.

10.   Maintaining high standard of housekeeping and safety consciousness.

11.   Accurately capturing activities in worklogs and timesheets.

12. Attending safety, quality, and technical training as organized by the company.

Qualifications/Experience and Knowledge Required

·        Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

·        Experience in STC equipment repairs.

·        Knowledge of repairs workshop processes and procedures.

·        Understanding of acceptable repair methods.

·        Demonstration of safe working practices and good HSE awareness.
