Job description
Our JobChat
Recently in our cantina during lunch break…Katy: "Hey, I saw you're working on the cloud provider comparison. How’s it going?"
Berni: "Pretty interesting! There are so many aspects to consider—compliance, performance, and integration. I could definitely use some support on this."
Katy: "Hm. Everyone seems super busy right now. Do you think a working student could be helpful to your team?”
Berni: “Yes, great idea!”
Katy: “Which tasks exactly would you need help with?”
Berni: "A mix of things! Research on European cloud providers, assisting with tool testing, and contributing to our DevOps curriculum. And if they have programming skills, they might even work on development tasks in real projects. That would probably be super interesting for a student."
Katy: "That’s for sure! Do they need any specific skills for that? Language skills or also prior experience with cloud technologies?"
Berni: "Fluency in English is a must, as we work closely with our Croatian colleagues. At least a B1 level in German would be needed too, as they may need to understand (written) communication with German clients. With regards to technologies on the other side…Not necessarily. Of course, a background in Informatics or similar makes sense. If they’ve worked with AWS, Azure, or GCP before, that’s a plus, but what really matters is curiosity and a structured approach to problem-solving. If they’re eager to learn, they’ll pick things up quickly."
Katy: "What about the benefits for the student?"
Berni: "They’ll get hands-on experience in cutting-edge cloud and DevOps projects, mentorship from experienced colleagues, flexible working hours, and of course, a fair salary. Plus, it's a great way to gain real-world knowledge that’ll be valuable in their career."
Katy: "Sounds like a fantastic opportunity! Let’s spread the word!"
