We are seeking an experienced ASIC Technical Project Manager (m/f/diverse) to lead the development of automotive-grade integrated circuits (ICs). This role is critical in managing cross-functional R&D teams to deliver high-quality ASICs that meet stringent automotive standards such as ISO 26262 and AEC-Q100. The ASIC Technical Project Manager (m/f/diverse) will oversee planning, execution and delivery of IC development projects, ensuring alignment with cost, schedule and quality targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership & Coordination
- Managing an IC R&D project team to define, plan, realize and deliver agreed work products in accordance with automotive quality and safety standards
- Leading cross-functional teams including requirements engineering, architecture, design, verification, IP integration and tool support
- Convening and moderating regular and milestone-based R&D project meetings
- Planning & Execution
- Developing detailed R&D project plans and providing inputs to the overall program management
- Managing implementation of project plan contents, ensuring timely and budget-compliant execution
- Providing budget requirements including effort estimation, tools, licenses and hardware
- Issue work orders to specialist departments and ensuring alignment with project goals
- Monitoring & Reporting
- Reporting development progress and status of the ASIC project to the Program Manager
- Monitoring and controlling all R&D project processes, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget and automotive compliance
- Providing project team members with necessary plans, updates and technical documentation
- Applying quality assurance practices including lessons-learned, peer reviews and risk assessments
- Change & Risk Management
- Applying configuration and change management processes rigorously
- Participating in Change Control Board (CCB) meetings and manage R&D-related changes according to defined processes
- Supporting component cost estimation and strategic decision-making
- Ensuring project objectives are met in terms of budget, schedule and technical/quality targets
