System Function Owner (M/F/D)

Drive the automotive macro trends of ADAS, User Experience or interior sensing features to the next generation of solutions. With so many new features added almost every day, we need experts in managing our customers’ requirements. As part of our Systems teams linking the customers and Tech teams, you’ll help us engineer, design and produce an entirely new and smarter architecture for tomorrow’s cars.

If you are experienced engineer of systems, requirements or sensing functions and you want to be part of shaping world’s most wanted technologies in automotive (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), we are looking for specialists joining our Feature owners Team.

As an ADAS Feature – function owner, you will get to work with world-class experts in ADAS systems, closely collaborate with software, hardware, testing & validation teams, as well as facing customer (automotive OEMs) and suppliers as an overall owner of an assigned sensing function.

Your Role

As an Feature / Function Owner you will be:

• Act as the primary point of contact to internal and external stakeholders (customers/suppliers) and subject matter expert for assigned systems products/functions, taking ownership of the design, development, and integration.
• Perform systems engineering activities such as: requirements negotiation, system definition and documents writing
• Establish and enforce quality control measures throughout the product development life cycle to meet defined quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Be main coordinator of the algorithm development, vehicle test, independent test and validation as well as software engineering competencies
• Represent Aptiv as the product expert at customer meetings
• Analyze technical issues related to the given function – verification of issues in the vehicle, driving and testing. Participating in some test drives that meet NCAP and NTSA regulations
• Communicate project status to product management and executives
• Work globally, across the EU countries, Asia and North America – role will involve international and intercontinental travel multiple times a year
• Drive the test vehicle to verify that your own function works as expected, verification of bug reports, and analysis of the feature performance

Your Background

• BSc or MSc in electronics, telecommunication, robotics, software engineering, computer science, physics or equivalent
• 5 years or more work experience as a systems engineer, product owner, function engineer or equivalent
• Knowledge of norms and processes used in automotive ASPICE, ISO 26262, ASPICE..
• Ability to communicate technical project aspects with the team in English
• Successful collaboration with team of software development’s engineers, project managers, product owners, system leads and architects.
• Excellent 360 degree communication and team work skills
• High level of motivation and dedication
• Hands-on mentality, independent and with own initiative
