Key responsibilities
The Service Coordinator is the first point of contact for technical support in ABB’s Marine & Ports Business in Germany. You coordinate service calls, maintenance and repairs, ensuring fast and efficient support for our customers. By organizing resources, spare parts and logistics, you help ensure that service work is carried out safely and successfully.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Provides technical support to customers to resolve issues with ABB products and systems.
Acts as the main interface between customers, ABB and contractors.
Plans, schedules and coordinates service visits, maintenance and installations for marine customers worldwide.
Collaborates with ABB coordinators, operations managers, project managers and contractors to ensure a fast response to customer requests.
Monitors the completion of service visits and ensures documentation is completed on time.
Identifies new service business opportunities in close cooperation with customers and internal ABB teams.
Follows safety regulations and environmental guidelines and reports unsafe practices, behaviors or incidents.
Qualifications for the role
Technical education in electrical engineering or a related field.
Knowledge and practical experience in the maintenance, servicing, commissioning, and repair of electrical equipment.
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP systems such as SAP is an advantage.
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Positive, team- and customer-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
Fluency in English is required; German is an advantage.
