We’re looking for a Senior Golang Engineer to join the Zendesk Deploy team to design and build an internal deployment platform from the ground up. In this role you’ll enable 1,000+ engineers to ship faster and safer by owning platform services, developer-facing APIs, and tooling written primarily in Go.

What you’ll be doing

Build and maintain deployment infrastructure and internal tools supporting continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

Work closely with engineering teams around the world to define deployment practices and help roll out new deployment patterns.

Develop and manage Kubernetes-based deployment automation and platforms.

Ensure reliability by monitoring systems, responding to incidents, and maintaining runbooks and documentation.

Drive improvements in deployment speed, security, and scalability through automation and infrastructure as code.

Leverage AI-based tools and platforms to help improve operational efficiency and deployment safety.
What you bring to the role
-
5+ years of professional software engineering experience; at least 3 years building production systems in Go

Strong experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Platform Engineering.

Good knowledge of container technologies, especially Kubernetes and Docker.

Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, or CloudFormation.

Hands-on experience building and operating production systems at scale.

Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.

Understanding of Kubernetes deployments.

Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., code generation, prompt-based automation, LLM assistants) and able to reason about their benefits and risks in a platform context.
Optional / Nice to have

Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as ArgoCD or Spinnaker.

Experience with configuration languages like Jsonnet.

Understanding of GitOps principles.

Experience working closely with developer teams or platform teams.

Exposure to multiple cloud environments or hybrid cloud setups.

The Poland annualized base salary range for this position is zł257,000.00-zł385,000.00. Please note that while the salary range represents the minimum and maximum base salary rate for this position, the actual compensation offered will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives that will be communicated during the offer stage.
