About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the execution of complex, long‑term customer contracts (e.g., LTSA / framework agreements) and high‑risk projects. You’ll be the key link between our customers and internal teams—bringing people together, keeping delivery on track, and building strong, long‑term partnerships. In this role, you’ll lead cross‑functional teams in a matrix environment, communicate confidently with senior customer stakeholders, and spot opportunities to grow the business. Main accountabilities and tasks

Ensure contractual execution within cost, time, quality and Sulzer PM standards

Manage financial performance of customer contracts, including cost control, forecasting and invoicing aligned with as‑sold budgets and milestones

Act as primary customer interface: contract updates, issue resolution, claims, variations and addenda negotiations

Present contract progress to senior management on a regular basis

Create and maintain customer, contract and project data, proposals, TOA calculations, purchase orders and scope releases in the Business Management System

Coordinate project handovers and communication between customers, execution centers and operations

Lead and manage project teams within a matrix organization

Ensure full contractual compliance, handle NCRs and customer complaints

Develop business insights, business cases and support continuous improvement initiatives

Support customer visits, ensure safety inductions, PPE compliance and ESH requirements

Promote quality improvements, safety awareness and identify risks and improvement opportunities, escalating with recommended solutions
What we're looking for:

9+ years of experience in project and contract management, preferably in complex and international environments

Experience with industrial rotating equipment

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred; project management background is a plus

Recognized project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMI, PM²) or equivalent degree

Strong experience in contract and commercial management, including legal aspects

Confident communication and negotiation skills at senior customer management level

Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams in a matrix organization

Strong communication skills; proactive, well‑organized and solution‑driven people manager
-
Fluent English required
-
Willingness to travel 25–50% worldwide
