About the role
Job Summary
The Group IT Team Lead is responsible for supervising a team of IT support professionals and ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT services across the group. This role coordinates day-to-day IT operations and supports the implementation of IT projects. This job profile is intended for People Managers of 4+ professional-level roles. Lead the Product Configuration & Pricing Technology subdomain as the single point of accountability for Sulzer's Select, Configure, Price, Quote (SCPQ) landscape. You will own the strategic roadmap, platform governance, and end-to-end service delivery for configuration and pricing technologies supporting our global Tendering and Product Management operations. Drive our transformation from fragmented local tools to a unified global SCPQ platform approach
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
Strategic Roadmap & Platform Governance

Drive the Sulzer SCPQ strategy in collaboration with Business and Excellence teams

Define and implement the SCPQ platform consolidation roadmap, moving from fragmented local tools to unified global approach

Make architecture and customization decisions ensuring global scalability and One Sulzer alignment
Business Partnership

Partner closely with Product Management and Tendering teams to align technology with product roadmaps

Act as the bridge between engineering requirements and commercial needs

Translate complex engineering logic and product rules into scalable software solutions
Service Ownership

Own complete service lifecycle from requirements through deployment and support

Manage and prioritize SCPQ platform backlog based on business value and strategic alignment

Coordinate with CRM and ERP teams for cohesive end-to-end solution delivery

Monitor platform performance and continuously improve user experience
Team Management

Lead a team of CPQ specialists and developers in India

Set priorities, assign work, and ensure team alignment with roadmap objectives

Plan team capacity and growth based on business and technology needs

Conduct performance reviews and support career development
To succeed in this role, you will need:

5+ years of experience implementing or managing CPQ solutions or specialized engineering selectors.

Deep understanding of complex pricing logic, technical product configuration, and quoting workflows.

Experience working with engineered-to-order or complex manufacturing environments is highly valued

Proven track record managing diverse stakeholders across Engineering, Sales, Product Management, and IT
-
Strategic mindset to move from fragmented local tools to a global platform approach.

Strong analytical skills to translate engineering logic into software requirements.

Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
