Your work location:
Flexible - work remotely across Germany or from one of our locations in Germany.
Your mission

Ownership of the technical vision and architecture for complex software and data solutions
-
Driving architectural decisions with a strong focus on scalability and long-term sustainability
-
Ensuring a maintainable codebase and actively reducing technical debt
-
Providing technical leadership and mentoring within the engineering team
-
Establishing best practices and conducting code reviews to maintain high quality standards
-
Coordinating stable and efficient data processing under continuous monitoring
-
Overseeing the full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment

Close collaboration with product management, project teams, and other stakeholders
-
Analyzing and resolving complex technical challenges to ensure system stability
-
Keeping up with emerging technologies and continuously evolving the system landscape
Your profile
-
Several years of experience in software development (min. 5 years), including at least 2 years in a technical leadership role
-
Strong expertise in software architecture and data processing
-
Experience with technologies such as Perl, Python, Linux/Unix, databases (MariaDB, MSSQL), and frontend frameworks like Angular
-
Familiarity with modern development tools and processes (Git, CI/CD, Azure DevOps) as well as cloud and container technologies (AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes)

Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS or Azure) are a plus
-
You are experienced working with and using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT - especially in coding environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication skills and cross-functional collaboration mindset

High level of ownership, structured working style, and result orientation

Fluent in German and English

In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to gain more insights into our work environment and meet more colleagues (also possible in a virtual set up).
