As a Managed Service Administrator (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the stable, secure, and high-performing operation of our central managed service environment. Together with our Engineering, Service Delivery, and Support teams, you will ensure that our customers always have reliable access to their business-critical legal software systems.

Flexible: either from your home office or from one of our office locations within Germany.
Your mission
Operations & Administration
-
Operate and continuously improve our managed service infrastructure based on VMware vSphere and OpenStack
-
Set up, maintain, and scale customer environments
-
Monitor and optimize platform performance across compute, storage, and networking
-
Manage and automate updates, hotfixes, and patching processes
Support & Incident Management
-
Analyze and resolve incidents in 2nd- and 3rd-level support
-
Collaborate with hosting partners on infrastructure topics and escalations
-
Troubleshoot complex application and infrastructure issues
Security & Compliance
-
Implement security policies as well as backup and recovery strategies
-
Continuously harden operating systems, services, and middleware
-
Ensure compliance with data protection and GDPR requirements
Deployment & Automation
-
Further develop deployment pipelines for new customer environments
-
Automate standard processes such as provisioning and patch management
-
Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks
Your profile
-
Experience administering VMware vSphere environments
-
Solid knowledge of OpenStack (compute, storage, networking)
-
Strong experience in Windows Server administration (AD, GPO, RDS, file services)
-
Experience with terminal server environments (RDS, ideally Citrix)
-
Basic understanding of VPNs, firewalls, VLANs, and load balancing
-
You already have initial experience working with and using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT

Very good written and spoken German and English skills

Analytical mindset and a structured approach to problem-solving

Strong service orientation and communication skills

Enthusiasm for complex technical environments and continuous improvement

Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player

Experience with automation tools such as PowerShell or Ansible

Familiarity with monitoring solutions such as PRTG, Zabbix, or Prometheus

Understanding of multi-tenant environments and multi-tenant architectures
