About the job
As Global Payroll Process Excellence Lead, you will own Opella鈥檚 end鈥憈o鈥慹nd global payroll process design and governance across all regions. You will define standards, embed strong controls, and lead the global payroll operating model that ensures accuracy, compliance, and an excellent employee experience at scale.
This is a high鈥慽mpact, strategic role at the intersection of HR, Finance, and Technology, critical to Opella鈥檚 separation journey and transition to stand鈥慳lone systems, tools, and services. You will drive harmonization, digitalization, and automation initiatives, establish a Global Payroll Center of Excellence, and act as a strategic partner to senior leadership.
聽Key Responsibilities

Own and govern global payroll processes, standards, and controls across all regions.

Ensure compliance with multi鈥慶ountry regulations and proactively manage payroll鈥憆elated risks.

Lead global transformation initiatives focused on standardization, automation, and digitalization.

Drive the global payroll technology roadmap and implement innovative solutions that improve accuracy and efficiency.

Coordinate global stakeholders (HR, Finance, IT, vendors) to ensure consistent, high鈥憅uality payroll execution.

Establish KPIs, analytics, and financial governance to optimize performance, cost, and decision鈥憁aking.

Key Requirements

Extensive experience in payroll leadership and managing multi鈥慶ountry payroll operations and projects.

Proven ability to influence senior leaders and shape global payroll strategy in complex environments.

Strong technical expertise in global payroll compliance, systems, integrations, and automation technologies.

Financial expertise to build business cases, model ROI, manage budgets, and interpret P&L impact.

Demonstrated success managing large鈥憇cale global vendors and long鈥憈erm service contracts.

Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross鈥慶ultural leadership capabilities.

Languages: Fluency in English聽required; additional languages are a plus.
