The Experience
The Tableau Specialist role is part of our Public Sector Sales team, focused on driving data and analytics transformation across Switzerland and Austria. As a strategic overlay specialist, you will partner closely with Account Executives to serve federal and cantonal/state governments, education, healthcare, and public utilities across the Alpine region.
We are looking for a Tableau Specialist who serves as the primary analytics authority for the region — guiding public sector leaders from initial curiosity to full-scale adoption, and positioning data as the backbone of modern government services.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
-
Partner with Account Executives to build and close a Tableau pipeline, leading product demonstrations, custom Proofs of Value (PoV), and executive presentations tailored to public sector needs.
-
Act as a trusted advisor to senior government stakeholders, translating complex challenges — such as eGovernment initiatives, open data mandates, and reporting obligations — into compelling visual analytics use cases.
-
Collaborate across a matrixed organization including Solution Engineers, Customer Success, and the broader Salesforce Public Sector team to deliver a unified customer experience.
-
Maintain accurate forecasting and opportunity management within your portfolio using Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
You're Our Person If...
-
You have proven experience in a specialist sales or overlay role within data, analytics, or enterprise software (including Business Intelligence (BI), data platforms, or AI-driven insights).
-
You have a deep understanding of the public sector landscape in Switzerland and/or Austria, including public procurement processes and frameworks.
-
You are fluent in German and English and can communicate complex data capabilities as clear, tangible value to senior government stakeholders.
-
You thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and have a track record of winning collaboratively across teams.
Even Better If...
-
You have working proficiency in French, particularly for engagement with Swiss Federal accounts.
-
You have experience working with local systems integrators or consultancies specializing in Swiss and Austrian public sector markets.
