Job Description
The objective of the Channel and Category Manager (70) is to orchestrate the end-to-end consumer experience for the Grooming & Beauty categories, with a strong focus on paid media.
This includes defining and optimizing strategy, activation, and measurement frameworks for all paid activities across consumer-facing touchpoints, including media, campaigns, and peak events.
In addition to leading the media strategy for G&B, this role also leads end-to-end Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) governance, interpretation, and deployment across global and regional teams.
Working in close partnership with the commercial analytics team, agencies, and local markets to further optimize media effectiveness measurement and to deliver best-in-class media frameworks translating MMM outputs into investment decisions and optimization opportunities.

Your role:

Responsible for defining and implementing media strategy and frameworks for the G&B categories.

Media planning and strategy: Develop and deploy frameworks to effectively allocate advertising budgets across channels such as TV, digital, and print.

Research and analysis: Stay up to date on industry trends and leverage data to inform media planning and investment decisions.

Budget management: Enable effective budget allocation in local markets, ensuring optimal and efficient media spend.

Relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with media partners and vendors to secure optimal placements and conditions for Philips.

Reporting and analytics: Deliver regular performance reports and translate insights into actionable improvements for future campaigns.

Drive and align on media sufficiency reporting, working closely with business stakeholders and regions to ensure consistency in deployment.
You are the right fit if you:

Bring a strong academic foundation in Communication, Marketing, Media, or a related field, ideally complemented by a Master’s degree or MBA.

Drive media strategy in complex, multi-market environments, translating business objectives into effective channel and investment decisions.

Demonstrated hands-on experience with Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), incrementality measurement, and media effectiveness frameworks in a global organization is required.

Experience interpreting econometric models and translating outputs into media investment decisions is required.

Navigate and influence stakeholders across global and regional teams, aligning business priorities with media execution.

Experience presenting media investment recommendations and performance insights to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.

Lead and optimize agency and partner collaborations to maximize media performance and impact. Experience working with global media agency ecosystems is mandatory.

Take ownership of significant marketing budgets and ensure spend is allocated effectively to deliver measurable results. Experience managing or influencing annual media investments exceeding €50M across multiple markets.

Apply a data-driven mindset to continuously improve media effectiveness, using insights to refine strategy and guide decision-making.

Bring structure and clarity to complex environments, enabling consistent and scalable ways of working across markets.

Translate media performance and analytics into clear business impact, connecting campaign outcomes to commercial results.
