Job Description
Philips has transitioned to a health technology company and it has entered into long term partnerships via licensing agreements in categories that are no longer in the core business. The Brand Licensing team, within the Intellectual Properties and Standards (IP&S) organization, is responsible to manage these relationships. As part of this team, you are empowered to use your voice and expertise to have a positive impact on your team, our business, and ensure the Philips brand consistency and value is maintained and grown.
This position in the Brand Licensing (BL) team is to support the brand compliance and growth of new business development as well as drive the strategy for our brand licensing activities adjacent to our core business. This is a key leader and BL management team member that is responsible for providing strategic and groundbreaking direction, and operational leadership to grow this Business Cluster.
Your role:

Developing the strategic plan to identify category opportunities for our brand with potential brand partners

Exploring and developing new opportunities by working closely with our Business Clusters, M&A team and licensing agents on new areas to grow Philips brand value

Directing brand licensing colleagues within your Business Cluster and contributing to group initiatives

Managing the account relationship with select existing licensees including contract negotiation, trademark and brand adherence, new growth opportunities, and financial obligations

Accountable for brand committee meetings and general adherence to our agreements by select licensees
You're the right fit if:

Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred

10 years related experience in licensing, business development or key account management

5 years experience in a health technology or healthcare environment

Previous people leadership experience or demonstrated ability to lead through influence

Proven track record in growing and developing licensing programs with licensing industry knowledge and relationships

Excellent commercial skills, established network and experience

Experience working at or managing a Licensing Agency

Brand and business oriented, strategic, & creative thinker

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Experience in negotiating contracts and terms of agreements

Fluent English - oral and written (minimum C1 level)

Ability to travel internationally, about 25% internationally
