Morgan Stanley is seeking a qualified in-house attorney to join our Budapest office. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team responsible for implementing the ISG Legal’s Basel Netting & Collateral Enforceability Program (BNC Program). This program is crucial in determining the legal enforceability of netting and collateral for master agreements related to traded products, including swaps, foreign exchange, commodities, securities lending, repo transactions, and prime brokerage and clearing agreements.
In the Legal and Compliance Division (LCD) we provide a wide range of services for our business units. They might help to structure a complex and sensitive cross-border transaction; advise on a new product introduction; develop a training program or defuse an investor dispute. They preserve the firm's invaluable reputation for integrity and protect the firm from sanctions with policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements around the world. They also strive to maintain cooperative relationships with governmental policy makers and the regulatory and self-regulatory agencies that govern the firm's businesses.

What you will do in the role:

Support the Basel Netting & Collateral Enforceability (BNC) Program, a key global initiative

Work with experienced colleagues to analyze legal enforceability across jurisdictions and asset classes

Collaborate with business, risk, and finance teams to understand how legal decisions impact transactions

Help manage external legal advice and contribute to global legal updates

Develop a strong understanding of derivatives, FX, and capital frameworks
What you will bring to the role:

Completed law school studies

Qualified lawyer with 0–5 years of experience (banking, corporate, or financial law)

Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail

Interest in financial markets and international legal work

Proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
