As we expand our presence in Poland, we鈥檙e searching for a聽Customs Operations Manager聽to lead and inspire a team of nearly 90 professionals in our new聽Warsaw GSC.
This is a聽high-impact leadership role, where you鈥檒l be responsible for developing a team of 40+ professionals, helping define and implement core processes and infrastructure that deliver聽efficient, predictable, and customer-focused services. You鈥檒l lead key projects, continuously improving workflows to optimize productivity while fostering a聽culture of excellence and innovation. Managing such a large team means that聽your leadership will be crucial聽in driving performance, supporting change initiatives, and ensuring that we operate in alignment with Maersk鈥檚 global strategy.
Collaboration is at the heart of this role鈥攜ou鈥檒l聽build and maintain strong relationships聽with internal stakeholders across different functions, ensuring smooth communication and operational efficiency. With your聽strategic mindset, you鈥檒l play a key role in聽driving change processes, helping teams adapt, and improving overall productivity.
Who are we looking for?
To excel in this role, you鈥檒l bring a聽proven track record of people leadership of Customs Teams (30 people plus), with at least聽five years of experience guiding and developing teams聽in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to聽manage stakeholders in a large organization聽will be key to ensuring smooth collaboration and operational success.
A聽continuous improvement mindset聽is essential鈥攜ou鈥檒l be someone who actively seeks out opportunities to optimize processes and drive efficiency. Your聽end-to-end process thinking and strong analytical skills聽will help you identify trends, solve complex challenges, and enhance productivity.
You thrive under pressure, able to聽work independently while managing tight deadlines, making confident decisions to keep operations running smoothly. With a聽deep understanding of customs and logistics, you鈥檒l ensure compliance, efficiency, and seamless service delivery.
Communication is crucial in this role, so fluency in聽English聽and the ability to build聽strong business-to-business relationships聽will set you up for success. Finally, a聽degree or equivalent certification聽will reinforce your expertise and strategic approach to leadership in this ever-evolving industry.

Salary banding is approximately 16,500 to 20,000 PLN per moth, plus bonus.
