**Mission Brief聽**
As a Controls & Automation Engineer,聽you will join聽us on the arctic island of聽And酶ya,聽where you will work on聽existing聽ground equipment PLC systems, as well as plan, program and commission new聽control聽systems.聽
In close collaboration with the聽local operations team and our Control Systems team based in Germany,聽you will ensure that our聽control systems聽run safely and聽reliably, and聽can compete with聽the聽top of the class launch facilities around the world.聽
Additionally, you will support operations with trouble shooting and check-outs of ground systems and vehicle test harnessing, while ensuring our聽systems聽are adapted聽to the test and launch campaign needs.聽
Your Role in Our Space Mission:聽

Develop, maintain and improve聽PLC software for ground equipment聽

Design PLC hardware setups and PLC-related networks聽聽
-
Upgrade聽and adapt systems for smoother, safer聽and聽more聽efficient operations聽

Increase the automation level of our facilities聽

Perform risk analyses and design safety-critical electrical systems聽聽

Support test and launch campaigns聽
**Qualification Checklist聽**
-
A degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or聽similar,聽or training as a聽certified engineer in automation technology聽聽
-
2+ years of experience in automation and PLC technology,聽preferably聽using Beckhoff PLCs聽
-
Experience in the field of PLC programming (soft-PLC)聽preferably聽using Beckhoff聽TwinCAT聽3 or CODESYS based systems聽
-
Experience聽in聽technical support and troubleshooting聽鈥撀爄n the field or remotely聽聽
-
Knowledge about fieldbus systems聽聽
-
Basic understanding of electrical schematics聽
-
Knowledge of sensors/sensor signals and test equipment聽聽
-
Experience designing and building PLC systems to EU and international standards聽聽

Ability to perform in high-stress environments聽

Highly organised, effective team player with high attention to detail聽

Able to adjust self-sufficiently and quickly to a highly dynamic work environment聽

Physical dexterity is required as working in confined spaces is necessary (including the ability to lift 25kg without assistance)聽

Fluency in English (Norwegian and German can be helpful)聽

Class B driver鈥檚聽license聽
