The opportunity:
The purpose of this position is to contribute to the academic excellence and strategic development of聽
Gisma University of Applied Sciences through high-quality teaching, impactful research, and active聽
participation within the academic community. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping聽
and delivering innovative programmes in Digital Marketing, Corporate Communication, and Social聽
Media Strategy, with a focus on integrating content creation, influencer marketing, and data-driven聽
branding into the curriculum. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with an international聽
student body, collaborate with industry and research partners, and influence the evolution of modern聽
communication education in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment.
Key Activities & Responsibilities:

Module responsibility and teaching of Gisma鈥檚 Bachelor and Master programmes, particularly in the fields of Consumer Behavior, Integrated Marketing Communications, Social Media Analytics, and related areas, as well as examination, assessments, and 聽student supervision.

Active participation in programme development, quality assurance, and the integration of digital storytelling and platform strategies into the curriculum.

Design and continuous update of contemporary teaching and learning materials aligned with developments in performance marketing, brand management, and viral communication.

Initiate, expand, and maintain cooperation with partners in industry and researchorganisations, particularly in creative agencies, media houses, and digital marketing departments environments.

Participation in national and international accreditation procedures, as required.

Active engagement in academic administration and committee work

聽Further development of a personal and institutional research profile in Digital Branding,聽
Social Media Psychology, or Marketing Automation, publication of results in high-quality聽
journals, and engagement in public dissemination.

Support outreach activities, including student recruitment events and promotion of AIdriven business study pathways
Your profile

**In addition, you demonstrate:聽**

Completed university studies in a relevant discipline such as Marketing, Media & Communication Studies, Public Relations, Digital Business, or Psychology with a focus on Marketing.

Proof of extraordinary qualification for scientific work in the form of an outstanding doctorate and/or a strong record of high-impact, peer-reviewed publications.

A minimum of three years of qualified professional experience, including at least two years outside a university environment, gained after a master's degree or equivalent.

Proven university-level teaching experience, with competence in blended, online, and interactive learning methodologies. Student evaluations should reflect excellent pedagogical aptitude.

A strong affinity for digital media trends, content management systems, and marketing technology (MarTech).

Fluency in English for teaching and research purposes; international academic or industry experience is highly valued.

A publication record in fields such as Marketing Strategy, Consumer Psychology, or Digital Media Management.

Experience in developing and leading research projects, ideally with success in acquiring third-party funding.

Innovative perspectives for advancing research and curriculum in Marketing,Communication, and Social Media.

Experience in curriculum development and accreditation processes is an asset.
