-
Configure and maintain tax determination rules within billing and invoicing platforms, ensuring accurate tax calculation at point of invoice generation.
-
Partner with product, engineering, and finance teams to build scalable invoice templates that meet local statutory requirements.
-
Lead testing and validation cycles for invoice-related changes, including system upgrades, new market launches, and regulatory updates.
-
Identify and resolve invoicing discrepancies and tax mismatches; escalate complex issues to senior tax leadership as needed.
-
Develop and maintain a library of invoice scenarios, edge cases, and exception-handling documentation.

2-3 years of experience in tax technology or billing operations, with a primary focus on invoicing solutions.
-
Hands-on experience with tax engines (Vertex, Avalara, or equivalent) integrated into billing systems.
-
Familiarity with subscription billing platforms is a strong plus.
-
Solid understanding of indirect tax regulations (sales & use tax, VAT) as they relate to invoice content and timing.
-
Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and product teams on invoicing automation projects.
