Compliance Officer
What we need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Compliance Officer within our Alpha FX division, within the Cross Border line of business. This role is specific to Alpha FX Europe Ltd in Malta and its branches across Europe, and you will therefore report to the Managing Director and the Board.
As Alpha FX Europe is a core part of the Alpha Group within Corpay Cross Border, you will work closely with our office in London and will therefore report also to the Group Head of Compliance.
The primary function of your role is to ensure compliance with the MiFID and E-Money regulations. As a senior member of staff within the business you will be expected to set and promote exceptional standards of professional conduct and integrity

Role Responsibilities

Be appointed as the Compliance Officer of Alpha FX Europe Ltd with the MFSA.

Taking complete ownership of the compliance programme for Alpha FX Europe to ensure regulatory compliance primarily with MiFID and Electronic Money regulations, and also with other regulations such as EMIR.

Identifying regulatory change across MiFID and E Money, providing guidance and written analysis as to how changes would affect the business. Proposing plans as to how we will react and comply.

Reviewing regulatory MFSA conduct rules to ensure business is operating within the rules.

Providing input into the compliance management information programme and the compliance monitoring programme, reporting to the Board of Directors and the Group.

Working closely with the marketing team to ensure Financial Promotions meet regulatory requirements.

Supporting the legal department and the branch managers of Alpha’s offices in Europe with the licensing process and in remaining compliant with their regulatory requirements.

Involvement in the drafting and upkeep of internal policies and procedures, and delivery of compliance projects ensuring technical excellence and a practical, business-driven approach.

Working closely with the Group Head of Compliance to escalate significant compliance risks.

Acting as a point of contact when dealing with complaints.

Acting as a point of contact for questions in relation to jurisdictional variations in ability to conduct business.

Be the first point of contact for client/in-house questions around regulatory matters.

Assist the Group Head of Compliance in designing, implementing and delivering comprehensive and appropriate training for relevant staff
Skills & Experience Required
-
5+ years of experience within a credit institution, payments or investment services provider.

Ideally already PQd by the MFSA.

Excellent understanding of MiFID and E-Money regulation.

Diligent and committed.

Effective communication skills and ability to take ownership of issues and problem resolution.

Confident and tenacious whilst also being a team player.

A desire and ability to understand processes and suggest improvements and efficiencies
