SUMMARY
The Inspector II is responsible for performing all standard sampling and inspection activities on vessels, rail/road cars, and shore tanks. The position requires strong knowledge of sampling protocols, safety regulations, and industry standards. Inspector II must be able to work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces, and handle hazardous materials. The job involves irregular shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct all common sampling and inspection activities with minimal supervision.

Perform accurate quantity measurements, cleanliness, and suitability verifications.

Document findings in detailed reports and ensure data accuracy.

Follow client instructions, Saybolt Standard procedures, Global Safety Manual, and company policies.

Ensure correct labeling, storage, and transportation of samples for laboratory analysis.

Assist in training and mentoring Inspector I personnel.

Participate in advanced training programs and pass relevant examinations.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of petroleum, chemical, and gas inspection procedures, as well as hazardous materials handling.

Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to operational excellence.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Minimum high school/secondary education or equivalent.
-
At least two years of experience in inspection, sampling, or a related field.

Strong understanding of industry regulations, sampling techniques, and safety protocols.

Valid Class B driving license with a satisfactory driving record.
-
Capability to share knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
Because you will be performing a critical function in the port of Antwerp, you will be subject to a security screening.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

Good verbal and written proficiency in Dutch (B1 level) and basic English (A2 level).

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Familiarity with laboratory sample handling and documentation.
