Who We Want:
Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a qualified licensed CDL driver to help support our facilities in the West Michigan region.聽
What You'll Do:
聽

Implements safe and efficient operating procedures while meeting established schedules聽聽

Efficiently load and/or unload freight using proper handling equipment聽聽

Take responsibility of and secure the equipment and/or cargo聽

Receive and verify dispatch instructions properly聽
-
Complete daily log when聽required聽and all other necessary paperwork聽
-
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspection of equipment聽聽
-
Maintain and update driving and safety skills聽

Perform duties in a manner that promotes superior customer service聽聽

Communicate with supervision to receive instructions, report delays or safety hazards and report accidents involving the driver or company equipment聽

Maintain a clean operating truck both inside and out聽聽

Perform other shipping related duties聽a聽assigned by the supervisor which could include but not limited to working a crane, driving a hi-lo, helping on the production floor聽
When and Where:
This will be a 2nd Shift / 3PM-11PM M-F position located at our Plant in Holland, MI.聽
Occasionally, this may require you to arrive early, stay late, or work on weekends, outside of our regular hours, to ensure we successfully meet customer needs, deadlines, or urgent requests.聽
What You Need to Have:

Must be 18 years of age or older

Able to stand for 8-10 hours a day and be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties, including following work instructions, safety procedures, and company communications.

Minimum 10 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.聽

Must be 21 or older聽聽

Possess a CDL聽

Must have a current motor vehicle report that represent a history of safe and competent driving聽

Must be able to work a maximum聽amount聽of hours allowed under D.O.T. hours of service regulations on various days / shifts.聽聽

Must聽posses聽or聽have the ability to聽obain聽a satisfactory DOT physical聽聽
