The Sales Manager reports to the Area Sales Director and plays a crucial role in supporting the achievement of sales targets, managing the sales team, and driving revenue growth.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Area Sales Director to develop sales strategies and plans aligned with the company's objectives and market dynamics.

Assist in managing and motivating the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets. This involves providing guidance, training, coaching, and performance feedback to the salespeople.

Support in forecasting sales volumes, setting sales targets, and developing sales plans to maximize revenue and market share.

Help in maintaining strong relationships with key customers and accounts. This may involve participating in meetings with customers, resolving customer issues, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Assist in analyzing sales performance, including sales revenue and pipeline activity.

Prepare regular sales reports and updates for the Country Manager, providing insights into sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.

Perform research and identify potential customers and new market opportunities.

Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, operations, quality and customer service departments to ensure alignment of sales efforts with overall business objectives.

Support the sales team in negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms with customers to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.

Review outstanding receivables monthly to ensure timely collection from customers.

Ensure that all sales activities adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.

Undertake any other tasks as and when assigned from time to time.
Pre-requisites:

Minimum Diploma, preferably in the engineering field or equivalent.

At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required.

Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams effectively, including hiring, training, and performance management.

Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve common goals.

Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills, able to make sound judgments in complex situations.

Effective communication skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders, and negotiate effectively.

Possesses an analytical mindset to interpret financial data, market trends, and performance metrics to make informed decisions.
